The OnePlus 15T is nowhere near launch, and yet some details have just surfaced for us to talk about. First and foremost, this phone will likely launch as the OnePlus 15s too, as that’s what happened with the OnePlus 13T and OnePlus 13s.
OnePlus is expected to skip the OnePlus 14T and 14s name due to tetraphobia
You may notice that there is no OnePlus 14T or 14s. Well, tetraphobia is a thing in China, so many companies skip product names that contain the number ‘4’. That is not always the case with OnePlus, but it will be for these phones, though. The OnePlus 4 also never became a thing, OnePlus skipped the name.
With that being said, the information here comes from Yogesh Brar, a tipster. According to what he said, the size of the two phones (and likely their displays) will remain unchanged.
What will change is the number of cameras on the back, though. The OnePlus 15T and 15s will jump from two cameras to three cameras on the back. The third camera on the back will likely be an ultrawide one. The ones included now are wide and telephoto ones.
Both the OnePlus 14T & 14s are expected to include three rear cameras, bigger batteries, and more
Both phones will also include a new processor, of course, as they will be a generation newer. What else will be new? Well, the tipster claims that both phones will have an even bigger battery on the inside. That is great to hear, even though these two already have massive batteries, especially for their display size.
Now, take this information with a grain of salt, considering both the timing of the leak and the source. The OnePlus 13T arrived back in April, while the OnePlus 13s followed in June. In other words, both of them launched rather recently.
There is very little chance that OnePlus will launch their successors a lot sooner. We’ll likely have to wait until Q2 next year, at the very least, which makes this a very early leak of what’s coming. It could be accurate, though, of course.
