Samsung’s Galaxy Buds 3 are a decent pair of true wireless earbuds. But they’re not cheap. This is why if you’re looking for a slightly more affordable pair of Samsung earbuds, thanks to a leak shared on X by tipster Evan Blass, the design of the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 FE has been revealed.
Galaxy Buds 3 FE leak
What’s interesting is that Samsung could be skipping a generation. The last FE earbuds were the Galaxy Buds FE. However, Samsung might skip calling it the Galaxy Buds 2 FE, and instead jump straight to the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. Well, whatever the naming scheme is, this could be the next-gen earbuds from Samsung.
In terms of design, the leak suggests that Samsung isn’t changing anything with the Galaxy Buds 3 FE. It looks very similar to the Galaxy Buds 3 and Buds 3 Pro. That’s not a bad thing, but then it might be hard to differentiate between the models visually. What’s interesting is that despite the fact that it will be an FE device, it features silicone ear tips unlike the base Galaxy Buds 3.
We’re not sure where Samsung plans to cut back in order to keep costs down, so we’ll have to wait and see. However, for now, it is believed that Samsung could equip the earbuds with Galaxy AI support. We’re talking about features like Interpreter Mode for real-time translation.
Launching alongside the Galaxy S25 FE
So, when will Samsung debut the Galaxy Buds 3 FE? That remains to be seen. However, there is speculation that the earbuds could launch alongside the upcoming Galaxy S25 FE. Similar to the Galaxy Buds 3 FE, the Galaxy S25 FE will be the more affordable alternative to Samsung’s main Galaxy S25 flagship series.
It makes sense that Samsung will want to launch its FE products together. For all we know, there could even be some kind of bundle deal for both products. Samsung hasn’t confirmed the dates yet, but based on the Galaxy S24 FE’s launch date in September, it might be safe to assume that Samsung could be sticking to that schedule.
Plus, September is when Apple plans to launch its new iPhones. Samsung could try to steal some of that spotlight by launching a more affordable smartphone and earbuds.
