Google Could Sweeten the Pixel 10 Deal With a Free AI Pro Trial

It is clear that Google is looking to integrate its AI into as many of its products as possible. However, how can it convince users to use its AI without first giving them a taste? This is why it doesn’t come as a surprise that Google could give Pixel 10 customers a free trial to its AI Pro plan.

Pixel 10 to get Google AI Pro plan

According to an Android Authority APK teardown, it discovered some signs that would suggest that Google could give Pixel 10 customers a free AI Pro trial. This means that Pixel 10 customers will have access to more advanced Gemini features.

That being said, it is unclear how long this free trial will last. However, Android Authority speculates that it could last as long as 6 months or up to a year. For context, Samsung also gave its Galaxy Z Fold 7, Flip 7, and Flip 7 FE buyers six months of Google AI Pro and 2TB of cloud storage.

Also, it is possible that Google could split the duration depending on the device. For example, the Pixel 9 Pro phones came with a year of AI Pro, while the base Pixel 9 phones only got a 6-month trial. Google’s AI Pro plan costs $19.99 a month, so customers would be saving a decent amount of money. Of course, you’ll have to keep subscribing once the trial is over if you want to keep the perks.

Google has confirmed that it is holding its Pixel event on the 20th of August. This is where the Pixel 10 phones will be announced. We also expect that Google will unveil its new Pixel Watch and new Pixel Buds wireless earbuds.

In terms of the Pixel 10, here’s what we can expect. The handset will feature the use of the Tensor G5. This is the first truly custom chipset from Google. It is also rumored to be built on TSMC’s 3nm process. Last we heard, the phone could come with 16GB of RAM and will be available in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. It is also rumored to pack a 4,870mAh battery.

We also heard that the Pixel 10 will support Qi2. Google will also apparently launch its own series of magnetic charging accessories. As for pricing, the base Pixel 10 will retain its predecessor’s price, while the Pixel 10 Pro will start at $999.
