Google’s New “Flight Deals” AI Tool Helps Find the Cheapest Airfare

If you often struggle to find the best flight deals, you probably know the pain. From planning about the destinations, best dates to fly, how to fly, and more, there’s a lot that goes into finally booking a flight. Fortunately, Google is aware of this struggle, which is why the tech giant is using AI to resolve it. Today, the company has announced a new AI-powered feature called “Flight Deals” within Google Flights. 

Google, in its announcement blog, mentions that it designed “Flight Deals” for travelers who prefer saving money. Now, you must be wondering how this tool helps, right? First of all, the Flight Deals tool lets you describe when, how, and where you will want to travel. Once you feed in these details, the tools use the power of AI to scour real-time Google Flights data to find the best deals that match your set criteria. 

Google also noted a few examples of how you describe your preference to the Flight Deals tool. You can simply type “week-long trip this winter to a city with great food, nonstop only” into the search bar. Another example Google mentioned in the blog post reads, “10 day ski trip to a world-class resort with fresh powder.” 

Once you’re done with the text prompt, the Flight Deals tool will suggest destinations and flights. You can either choose from the suggested ones or try different inputs to get additional information about flight deals based on your travel needs.

The feature will roll out in beta next week, in three countries

As of now, Google hasn’t rolled out the Flight Deals tool. However, it mentioned that the beta rollout begins next week for users in the US, Canada, and India. When available, you’ll be able to access Flight Deals from the top of the page or from the top-left menu on Google Flights. Since the rollout will be in beta, the tech giant wants you to provide feedback about the tool.
