Google CEO Sundar Pichai recently shared plans to bring Gemini to more devices. During the firm’s Q1 2025 earnings call last month, Pichai confirmed that the chatbot would make its way to tablets, cars, and accessories like headphones and Wear OS watches later this year. Although Google still hasn’t shared a definite release timeline, it has revealed some more details about the Gemini expansion during The Android Show today.
Gemini is currently available on Android phones, iPhones, and the web. You can also access the chatbot on the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and older Pixel Buds models, but it’s not available on earbuds and headphones from other manufacturers. That’s set to change soon, as Google has now announced that Gemini will soon be available on earbuds from Sony and Samsung.
While the company has not revealed the supported models, we suspect Gemini will first land on flagship earbuds from these manufacturers before eventually reaching more affordable models. It’s not immediately clear if Gemini on Sony and Samsung earbuds will support all the features available on Google’s Pixel Buds. We’ll have to wait until the rollout to know for sure.
As for expansion to other devices, Google says that Gemini will reach Wear OS watches and Android Auto head units in the coming months. Later in the year, Google will commence rollout to cars with Google built-in and Google TV devices. The chatbot will even be available on Android XR headsets, starting with the first headset from Samsung, which is expected to launch before the end of the year.
