Apple is expected to launch its next-gen iPhones next month. We’ve seen a ton of leaks, which have pretty much ruined any surprise Apple has planned for us. Now, the folks at accessory maker dBrand might have confirmed the design of the iPhone 17 Pro with its new Tank Case.
dBrand spoils the iPhone 17 Pro surprise
In a series of renders shared on its website, dBrand might have confirmed the iPhone 17 Pro design. One of the changes Apple is rumored to make to the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max models is to the camera module. Instead of an island sitting at the side of the phone, Apple has changed it to stretch across the back of the phone.
It is a bit reminiscent of Google’s more recent Pixel phones. The dBrand Tank Case confirms that, with a section at the top of the case designed to accommodate the new camera module. Now, is dBrand basing this on the leaked photos and renders, or do they have some sort of insider knowledge? That remains to be seen, but at the very, the rumors are consistent.
The company doesn’t dive into detail about the Tank Case, but it’s not hard to imagine. It looks like a very rugged case designed to allow the iPhone 17 Pro to withstand drops and bumps. There are buttons for the volume rockers, the Action Button, the sleep/wake button, and Camera Control. It looks rugged as heck, but we’ll have to wait and see if it can live up to its name.
Apple’s 2025 lineup is coming soon
If the rumors are accurate, Apple will host an event on September 9. This is when the company will unveil the iPhone 17 lineup. This is rumored to consist of the base iPhone 17, the iPhone 17 Pro, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It will also, for the first time in a while, introduce a new iPhone model in the iPhone 17 Air.
Apple will ditch the Plus model for the Air, which will also be the company’s thinnest iPhone to date. Along with the iPhones, we expect Apple will take this opportunity to refresh its Apple Watch series. Take this with a grain of salt, but check back with us next month for the details.
