Angry Users Say Google Home Is Getting Buggy – With No Fix in Sight

Google Home users are reporting that their devices are getting increasingly buggy. Google Nest users are also unhappy with their devices becoming less reliable and worse over time. And what’s even more frustrating is that Google seems to be ignoring the raised complaints.
Google Home and Google Nest devices are getting buggy
Several users of Google ecosystem devices like Google Nest and Google Home have reported numerous issues related to the devices on a Reddit forum. The users are reporting that the devices are getting less reliable and that it is getting more buggy over time.
The following issue was first covered by the folks at Android Authority, and surprisingly, the article is filled with users reporting similar issues in the comment section. Common issues include commands not working, devices randomly going offline, unresponsive behavior, and unavailability of audio/video streaming. All the reports are pointing to the reliability of Google’s hardware and software on these devices.
Google has not yet responded to any of the concerns
One customer says that “I can only get it to work without some kind of error 25% of the time these days.” Several other customers have expressed their dissatisfaction with the product, and due to the unresponsive behavior of Google, many of them are intending to switch to alternative products. Google has not yet acknowledged the issue of Google Home or Nest devices becoming buggy and unreliable.
Google hasn’t launched any new Smart Home ecosystem products in a long time. While devices like the Nest Thermostat have been released. It cannot be considered truly consumer-centric due to issues with regional availability and a lack of focus from the brand. Currently, the firm seems to be busy continuing to develop Gemini, its powerful AI model. The future of Google Home ecosystem devices is looking dull and unclear.
