Not a fan of the price of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series? If you’re looking for a cheaper alternative but don’t want to go down the Galaxy A-series route, then you’re in luck. According to a report from Korean publication FN News, they claim that Samsung could release the Galaxy S25 FE early.
Galaxy S25 FE could see early launch
Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 FE globally last September. However, in its home market of South Korea, it was only released in November 2024. Now, this report suggests that the Galaxy S25 FE could see an early release in Korea on the 19th of September. If Samsung typically delays the release in South Korea, there’s a chance other markets could get the phone much earlier than that, possibly as soon as this month.
Samsung hasn’t confirmed the launch dates yet. However, the company did confirm that it is planning an earlier-than-expected launch of the phone. When exactly, we do not know. If this report is true, we should get the official details soon.
The company could be planning an early release because of its upcoming tri-fold handset. This will be Samsung’s first tri-fold phone, and it will go up against the likes of Huawei. So, it is possible that Samsung doesn’t want the Galaxy S25 FE’s launch to take away the spotlight from its tri-fold.
What can we expect?
If you’re considering the Galaxy S25 FE, here’s what we can expect. According to our source, the Galaxy S25 FE will come with a 6.7-inch Dynamic OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 1080×2340 resolution. Its display will also feature the use of Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus.
Under the hood, the Exynos 2400 chipset will power the phone. It will also come with 8GB of RAM and 128GB-256GB of storage. It will sport a triple camera setup on the back. This consists of a 50MP f/1.8 main, a 12MP f2.2 ultrawide, and an 8MP f/2.4 telephoto. There will be a 12MP f/2.2 front-facing camera to round things off.
Last but not least, the Galaxy S25 FE will feature a 4,900mAh battery. It will also support 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. As for colors, last we heard, there will be four color options offered.
