According to Samsung, over 70% of Galaxy S25 users use AI tools from Samsung and Google regularly. It also says that Google Gemini has had the most noticeable growth in all of the Galaxy AI features on the Galaxy S25 series, having tripled its usage since inception.

Because of this, Samsung has announced that it plans to double the availability of Galaxy AI from the 200 million devices it is currently available on, to over 400 million by the end of the year.

Samsung Electronics’ Corporate Executive Vice President and Head of Language AI team, Jisun Park said that “some see AI as the start of a ‘post-smartphone’ era, but we see it differently. We’re building a future where your devices don’t just respond, they become smarter to anticipate, see, and work quietly in the background to make life feel a little more effortless.”

A few other statistics that Samsung put out are that Circle to Search is used by more than half of Galaxy S25 users. Photo Assist usage has doubled on the Galaxy S25 compared to the Galaxy S24. And about one in three people use Now Brief. Of course, the Now Brief usage could really improve when Samsung adds more content to the Now Brief; it’s a great idea that is a little bit undercooked right now.

According to the study that Samsung conducted, about “47% of consumers say their daily routines would be disrupted without AI tools like personalized notifications, AI-powered search and voice assistance.” Samsung also noted that about 5% of consumers use voice commands as often as they type. This highlights a pretty significant shift in how users are interacting with their devices.

While many of us are tired of hearing about AI with product announcements, its clear that consumers are adopting AI and using it daily. It’s even changing how some people do their daily routines and interact with their devices, from smartphones to laptops to TVs.
