Samsung launched the Galaxy F56 in May as an affordable device. If that doesn’t sound familiar, it’s because the “Galaxy F” devices are only available in a few key markets. While these models are aimed at people on a budget or who don’t want to spend a lot on a decent phone, durability is important. That said, the Samsung Galaxy F56 was disassembled in a video teardown, offering good news in terms of repairability.

The Galaxy F56 disassembly process, carried out by PBKreviews, finished with a 9 out of 10 for repairability. This score is almost unheard of for a modern smartphone—even in its price segment.

Samsung Galaxy F56 gets 9/10 in repairability

So, what makes the Galaxy F56 so repair-friendly? The video starts with removing the glass back cover—a fairly standard procedure. From there, a series of screws are easily accessible, revealing the phone’s internal components. What truly stands out is the thoughtful, modular design. Key parts like the 6,000mAh battery and even the charging port are surprisingly easy to replace. So, a huge win for both users and technicians. The phone also uses a plastic frame with protective rubber gaskets around ports, adding resilience.

Of course, no phone is perfect. The F56 lost a couple of points for its internal organization, which could be a tiny bit tidier. The slightly more delicate process of replacing the screen could also be better. These are common challenges in many smartphones, particularly those with AMOLED displays. However, these minor drawbacks don’t overshadow its overall excellent repairability.

With a slim profile of just 7.2mm and robust Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, the Galaxy F56 strikes a great balance between sleek aesthetics and practical durability. Samsung also promises up to six years of software support. Adding to its ease of repair, the device becomes an even more significant long-term advantage.

As regulations like those in the EU push for more user-friendly repair options, Samsung’s approach with the Galaxy F56 could be a sign of things to come across the industry. Be that as it may, more repairable handsets are always good news for everyone.
