Google is using the Pixel Watch 4 to help you train smarter by including an all-new strength training experience.

Google has a new Workout Builder, allowing you to train your way. This will allow you to create Interval Workouts, warm-ups, and cool-downs, which will help you maximize performance and limit potential injuries. With Fitbit Premium, you’ll be able to get AI-generated daily Run Recommendations, which will help push you further than ever before.

You can execute these sequenced workouts, with real-time guidance, to reach your goal. Google will also provide you with Advanced Metrics and Form Insights after your workout. This includes cadence, stride length, vertical oscillation, ground contact, vertical ratio, and ground contact balance.

Google has also improved Swim Tracking, Cycling Experience, and Activity Recognition

That’s not all, for updated fitness features on the Pixel Watch 4. Google has also improved swim tracking, as well as Cycling experience and activity recognition. Google’s Pixel Watch can already identify over 40 different activities. And now, it’s going to be even better at recognizing them.

Google also has finely tuned the Readiness score, so you’ll know when your body’s ready to be pushed even harder. The Pixel Watch 4 will also get improved dual-band GPS on both models, giving you the most accurate tracking, even in the toughest environments.

The Google Pixel Watch 4 will be announced at a Made by Google Event on August 20 in New York City. The devices will mostly look the same as last year, but the Pixel Watch 4 will be repairable this year. That’s actually a bigger deal than it sounds, as the current Pixel Watches have to be completely replaced if anything goes wrong. The Google Pixel Watch 4 specs indicate both models are also getting larger batteries this year, though we do expect pricing to remain the same.
