iPhone 17 Pro May Ditch the Serious Look with Bold New Orange and Blue Colors

If you take a look at the colors Apple usually chooses for its iPhone models, you’ll notice a pattern. The base iPhone and Plus models typically get the brighter and more “fun” colors. Then for the Pro and Pro Max, Apple gives it a more serious look with darker options. Now, thanks to renders shared by Majin Bu Official, we have an idea of what the iPhone 17 Pro colors are.
New iPhone 17 Pro colors
According to the post, the iPhone 17 Pro could be offered in new orange and blue colors. This will be offered alongside the black and silver/white options. We have to admit that the orange finish threw us off a bit. Like we said, Apple usually gives its Pro and Pro Max iPhones are more “serious” look, so the orange is brighter than we expected.
Majin Bu claims that the orange finish is inspired by the Action Button on the Apple Watch Ultra. Even though it is brighter than we expect from an iPhone Pro, it actually looks quite nice. Of course, we should note that these aren’t official renders. We don’t know what the final product will look like, but we already like what we see.
As for the blue finish, Majin Bu says it was inspired by Blue Titanium. Apple has launched a blue iPhone in the past with the iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max. We don’t think the company is recycling the colors, so while it might look the same, there could be some subtle differences. The tipster also says that the black and silver finishes won’t be 100% the same as its predecessors.
It was also previously reported that Apple had apparently considered giving the iPhone 17 Pro a Sky Blue finish. However, the latest report claims that Apple decided against it and will use that color option for the iPhone 17 Air.
Other iPhone 17 Pro details
The iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max will be the highest-end iPhones Apple plans to launch this year. Both phones are rumored to be powered by the A19 Pro chipset, leaving the base iPhone 17 to use the “regular” A19.
Both phones are also rumored to feature a redesigned camera module. As you can see in the renders above, this is a considerably larger module than the previous iPhone Pro models. We’re not sure why Apple needs such a big space, but maybe there are additional sensors or increased sensors that we don’t know about.
The latest rumor we heard is that Apple could also give the displays of the Pro models an anti-reflective coating. This would be reminiscent of the nano-textured glass Apple offers for its Studio Display and Pro Display XDR monitors.
