Leaks are an integral part of the tech community. And it’s not even a question whether the community will thrive without its energy or not. But brands, in particular, hate it for an obvious reason. And that’s why Samsung has now fixed the loophole that allowed us to have the early leaks of One UI.
No More Samsung’s Early One UI Leaks
Software development involves multiple phases and testing prior to the stable release. One of the early builds is termed “closed beta” and is only accessible to the developers or a few selected users. The software then undergoes multiple rounds of testing, including open beta testing, before the final rollout.
The same thing happens with Samsung’s One UI as well. However, there was a loophole in the closed beta testing. And due to this, anyone could locate and download the software file. And this was the reason why we had numerous leaks covering the early build of One UI 8. But in the latest development, the tech giant has fixed the issue.
Samsung addresses the closed beta loophole
Samsung uses a particular server to send the closed beta updates to the users of Galaxy phones, watches, foldables, and other gadgets. However, there was a loophole in the server that would allow any outsider to access the software file and even download it. But as per the report from SamMobile, the company has addressed the issue and has therefore closed the doors for upcoming One UI leaks.
Now, since the loophole is addressed, we may not get any leaks for the upcoming version of One UI, which could be One UI 8.5. But leaks don’t always come through a single door. It would be worth seeing whether we are getting the new leaks about the One UI in the future or not.
