Motorola Razr and Moto Buds Loop get the crystal treatment

Motorola is coming out with a new design of the Razr that has a distinct crystal pattern on the back, and you can catch your first glimpse of the upcoming style of Motorola’s popular foldable in these newly leaked images. This isn’t Motorola’s first time experimenting with unique designs on its phones. Nor is it even the Razr’s first time sporting some crystal-encrusted looks.

Way back in the early 2000s, during the first era of the Razr, Motorola released a variety of colors of the device. It was popular at that time to “bling it out” with crystals that covered the entirety of the outside of the phone. This isn’t quite along those lines, since this design seems to be an official design from Motorola. However, it’s certainly reminiscent of a time when the Razr was king. When people were glued to MTV watching celebrities like Paris Hilton put Swarovski crystals on basically everything.

The Motorola Razr gets an official crystal design

Motorola doesn’t seem to have announced this phone style yet, but it appears to be the base 2025 Motorola Razr, and it looks like this could be an official collaboration with Swarovski for those crystals on the back. The phone also has a unique diamond pattern on the back, with the crystals slotted into the corners of each diamond. You’ll also find a few crystals around other parts of the device. Such as on the hinge, and above the cover display.

The leaked images come from @MysteryLupin on X, who has also posted some leaked images of another upcoming Motorola product. A matching style of the Moto Buds Loop. The Moto Buds Loop, just like the 2025 Razr, are already available. However, Motorola hasn’t announced this new style yet. It seems the company is likely to announce both of these designs at the same time, seeing as how they’re likely meant to complement each other. It’s worth noting that Motorola showed off the Swarovski crystal earbuds (in a different color) back in April. So this isn’t the first time we’ve seen them, just this particular color.

What’s interesting about the Moto Buds Loop is that with the crystals adorned across the “loop” part of the earbuds, it almost makes these look like earrings. That’s also likely the intent, given who Motorola seems to be marketing these new designs to. If you’re a fashion-forward individual who enjoys a little bling in every outfit, or you’re a socialite, these new products are probably for you.
