Just days ahead of Unpacked, we’ve gotten our hands on pictures for the first-party cases for Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 7. These include the Silicon Case, Carbon Shield Case, Clear Case, and the anti-reflective screen protector.
The Silicon Case will likely be the most popular case for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 this year, and it does sport a kickstand. The difference we are seeing here, however, is that the carrying grip is gone. And now the “Fold” writing is on the kickstand itself. Otherwise, this looks to be pretty much the same case as last year, in different colors. There appear to be Black, Gray, Blue, and Mint.
Last year, this case was quite pricey at $84.99, so we’re expecting the same this year. That’s why it’s important to sign up for Galaxy Reserve now, ahead of Unpacked. Just give Samsung your name and email, and you’ll get a $50 credit for your Galaxy Z Fold 7 pre-order. You’ll also earn 3x points on your order and be entered to win $5,000.
Samsung’s Clear Case and Carbon Shield are other options this year
Moving onto the clear case, this does have a nice ring around the cameras, for those that might be missing the camera rings. It also has a carrying grip on the back, which is missing from the Silicon case. It is a single piece this year, only covering the back of the phone. Likely due to how thin the phone is this year, as well as the slim bezels.
Last year, the Clear Case for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 was $49.99.
Now, for the new kid on the block, so to speak. This is the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Carbon Shield Case. This looks to be one of those very thin carbon fiber cases that companies like Thinborne and Pitaka offer. It does have a beveled edge around the camera to protect those cameras, as well as cut outs for everything like the buttons and ports. This one does have a front portion that is very tiny, which we expect to be attached with adhesive like a lot of other foldable cases.
Finally, the anti-reflective film screen protector. This likely means that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 won’t have Gorilla Glass Armor 2 like the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which is not a surprise, but we were hoping for it. Last year’s Anti-reflecting film was $29.99, so we expect it to be quite similar.
