Samsung has once again brought back its “classic” smartwatch, in the form of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. This comes after skipping it last year. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is also seeing a higher price increase than the Galaxy Watch 8 this year, mostly because it skipped that release last year.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic price will start at $499 for the Bluetooth model. With the LTE model going up to $549. That is a $100 increase on both models, over the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic.
Samsung will also offer a number of different bands for the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, including hybrid, athleisure, sport, and fabric bands. The watch will come with Samsung’s eco-leather band by default, which is the “hybrid” option. Samsung is also offering a ton of colors across all of these different band styles.
Galaxy Watch 8 Classic brings a ton of new features, too
Along with the price bump, we’re also seeing a bunch of new features for the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic. This includes Vascular Load, Running Coach, Bedtime Guidance, and a few others. These should all trickle down to older models as well, though Samsung hasn’t confirmed which ones will, just yet. These are just a few of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Classic features that were announced.
The biggest change with the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic this year is going to be the design. Samsung has decided to bring the squircle look to all three watches this year. That makes the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic look even bulkier than usual, thanks to the rotating bezel. That’s right, the rotating bezel is still here on this 46mm watch.
The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic is available for pre-orders today, and you can save even more if you trade in a device or bundle it with a new phone or tablet.
