The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is actually the only device announced at Unpacked that is not getting a price increase this year. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 price remains at $1,099 for the 256GB model. While the 512GB model will cost $1,219. Unfortunately, Samsung is still not doing a 1TB option for the Galaxy Z Flip this year.

Pre-orders are open now for the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and there are some pretty sweet deals available. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 release date is officially on July 25, however devices could arrive earlier, as we’ve seen with the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year.

Samsung is selling the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in four colors this year: Coral Red, Blue Shadow, Jet Black and a Samsung.com exclusive Mint.

Larger cover display, still limited

The good news about the Galaxy Z Flip 7 this year is that the cover display is much larger. We’re looking at a massive 0.7″ jump in screen size to 4.1 inches. This is partly due to the fact that Samsung has dramatically reduced the bezels to about 1.35mm and also made the phone wider. That inner display has also gotten larger, now 6.9 inches.

Unfortunately, with that larger inner display, Samsung is still not giving users what they want, entirely. Which is the ability to run any Android app on that front display. Something Motorola first introduced on the Razr Plus back in 2023. Instead, you’re still limited to six apps without installing Good Lock (which may not even be compatible at launch).

Otherwise, internally, we have an Exynos 2500 chipset, marking the first foldable released globally to use an Exynos chip. It also has 12GB of RAM and 256GB or 512GB of storage. That’s all powered by a 4,300mAh capacity battery. Which should provide some rather exceptional battery life.
