Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Prices Appear—But Something Doesn’t Add Up

Price tags of Samsung’s upcoming foldables have just surfaced, and have managed to bring confusion with them, especially when it comes to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7. Why? Well, because we’re getting conflicting information here.

For example, Yogesh Brar, a tipster, said that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will get a price bump in India. The price will increase from INR 149,999 ($1,749), which was the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6’s price, to INR 179,000 ($2,087). That’s a major price bump, for any market, let alone India.

Another tipster, billbil_kun, revealed price tags for France, for some models. Based on his information, the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 256GB and 512GB storage models will cost €100 more. The 1TB model will be €160 more expensive. Those are also major price bumps.

Last month, Roland Quandt denied a price bump for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, at least as far as the German market is concerned. He claimed that the price will stay the same. The chances of the phone costing the same in Germany and getting a major price bump in France are… minuscule. So, chances are that one of them is wrong.

Let’s get back to the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s prices that billbil_kun shared. He claims that the 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants of the phone will cost €2,099, €2,219, and €2,519, respectively.

The Galaxy Z Flip 7’s 256GB storage option is said to cost €1,119, while its 512GB model will set you back €1,319 in France. The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, on the flip side, is said to cost €999 for the 128GB storage variant, and €1,059 for the model with 256GB of storage.

All of these smartphones will become official tomorrow, July 9. That’s when the company is hosting its second Unpacked event of the year, and it will take place in New York.
