Samsung continues to expand its share in the tablet business. The Korean tech giant is reviving the “Lite” brand after a hiatus of nearly five years. So, the countdown has begun for the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite, which has now appeared at the FCC.

FCC listing confirms Galaxy Tab S10 Lite’s battery specs

The upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 Lite has just hit the FCC database with the model number SM-X400. The US requires this certification for all electronic devices sold in the country. So, it confirms the device’s arrival in the US and strongly indicates that the launch is around the corner.

The FCC filing confirms that the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will support the S Pen. Although the Tab S6 Lite also features S Pen support, we can expect a similar thing from the upcoming model.

The certificate also includes some details about the battery. Although the exact capacity isn’t mentioned, the listed battery model provides us with a good clue. It’s the same one used in the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. So, we can expect the tablet to have an 8,000 mAh battery.

The similarities between the Galaxy Tab S10 Lite and the Tab S10 FE don’t stop there. The FCC filing shows that the tablet’s battery will support 45W charging. We don’t know for sure yet, but this could give an idea that the two devices may share some other specs as well.

What do we know so far about Samsung’s new budget tablet?

The Galaxy Tab S10 Lite will offer the affordable pricing approach of its predecessors. This suggests the tablet model will come with mid-range features. So far, leaked reports claim Samsung’s own Exynos 1380 processor will power the model.

Samsung uses this chip in phones like the recently introduced Galaxy A54 and Galaxy M36. It handles daily tasks and runs most mobile games without any issues. In other words, it is an octa-core processor that can reach clock speeds of up to 2.4 GHz.

The tablet will feature 6GB of RAM and run Android 15-based One UI 7 right out of the box. Samsung will also release the One UI 8 update for it very soon. We don’t know the launch date yet, but the tablet will reportedly go on sale later this year.
