There’s a $10 YouTube TV discount hiding in your account right now

YouTube TV is quite popular among cord-cutters. The streaming service offers many live TV channels you don’t generally get from cable TV. However, the increasing cost of the service has been a headache for many users. To catch you up, Google bumped the price of YouTube TV to $82.99/month. That’s a $10/month jump from the $72.99 monthly fee that stuck around for nearly two years. Thankfully, YouTube TV is offering a $10 discount on the monthly fee. 

YouTube TV is giving out a $10 monthly discount, but it’s buried

Folks over at 9to5Google first spotted the $10 monthly discount on the YouTube TV plan. However, the news outlet notes that it’s a bit buried. In other words, YouTube isn’t promoting this discount offer, but it’s reportedly widely available for YouTube TV subscribers. Worry not, here’s how you’ll find that discount. 

To redeem the monthly discount of $10 on your YouTube TV plan, you’ve to navigate to the  “Manage plan” section. If you are on a desktop, go to the YouTube TV website, then navigate to Settings. Next, you’ll have to go to Membership and tap on “Manage.” Here, you’ll find the option “Get $10 off your current plan.” 

Once you confirm to redeem the YouTube TV’s monthly discount offer, you’ll be shown your monthly billing date and promotional price. That price, $72.99, should be payable for the next six months. On the same page, you’ll see when the discounted plan goes back to the regular price of $82.99/month. 

The offer is apparently not available for everyone

As pointed out by Android Authority, some users on this Reddit thread have reported not seeing this discount offer. Apparently, it’s not currently available for everyone, especially those who tried searching for it via the YouTube TV mobile app. Therefore, we recommend that you check via the YouTube TV website on desktop or through a mobile browser. Nonetheless, those who have received the monthly discount have said they’re quite happy with it.
